Studies Suggest Red Light Therapy:
| ||||
With Red Light Therapy, skin rejuvenation is no longer a dream. A series of long-term studies have shown that collagen production can be stimulated with red light waves of 633 nanometers. The light waves emitted by the lamps in our red light booths encourage the skin to produce collagen, elastin and certain enzymes that are responsible for the skin’s supportive structure.
Collagen, a human protein, is responsible for the tightness, tensile strength, elasticity, suppleness and moisture content of the skin, as well as for the constant renovation of its cells. In the course of the skin aging process, the human body loses the ability to rebuild collagen. Research proves that the skin aging process occurs in the connective tissue, whose main ingredient is collagen. As a consequence of the weakening bio-synthesis of collagen fibers in the under-layer of connective tissue, wrinkles develop. Red Light Therapy helps to slow aging and supports the skin to improve firmness.
The aging process goes along with two essential factors: the older skin becomes, the slower the metabolism in the skin. This leads to a decrease of cell energy in the fibroblast cells, which manufacture collagen and elastin. Moreover, the body’s capacity to produce the necessary nutrients for the fibroblast cells also declines. The result is reduced collagen and elastin production which shows in lines and creates an uneven or loose appearance of the skin.
| • Promotes collagen and elastin production
• Firms aged and tired skin
• Increases moisture retention
• Gives more consistent skin coloration and improves complexion
• Increases oxygenation to restore skin's natural cellular activity

| Red Light Therapy stimulates the skin to start producing skin-tautening collagen and elastin fibers in the deeper layers of the dermis again. This photo bio stimulation has a visible smoothing effect on wrinkles and activates the metabolism of the skin. Improved oxygenation and detoxification of the skin is achieved by the red lamps as the vascular walls of the skin’s small blood vessels are strengthened, followed by improved natural repair and creation of healthy skin.
The initial effect is clearer, brighter, and tighter feeling skin. The long-term effect is improved skin clarity, tone, and texture. Fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and dark circles, as well as puffiness around the eyes are reduced, while the effects of environmental damage and chronological aging are minimized.
Over time, Red Light Therapy will help restore tired-looking skin, decrease fine lines and wrinkles, diminish freckles, age spots, and acne, even out pigmentation, minimize the size of facial pores, improve the appearance of sun-weathered skin, and stimulate collagen synthesis, improving the skin's supportive structure. The result is tight and firm skin with reduced lines, a fresh appearance and a smooth, beautifully radiant look.
For a visible anti-aging effect, a minimum of 3 to 4 sessions per week over a period of 4 to 12 weeks is recommended, followed by a minimum of 1 to 2 maintenance sessions per week. Best results are achieved by continuous use, which accelerates cellular activity and fuels the process of collagen and elastin synthesis. Discontinuing the red light therapy typically results in the gradual loss of results over the course of time, as with normal skin aging.
